Hi, I'm Simon

I’m Simon, a full stack developer with a background in civil engineering and construction project delivery. I earned my degree in Civil Engineering from The University of the West Indies, one of the Caribbean’s leading universities, and worked for five years as a Project Engineer overseeing construction projects in Trinidad. After several years in engineering, I wanted to experience a new culture and improve my French-speaking abilities, so I spent time as a Teaching Assistant in Besançon, a small city in France. That experience strengthened my communication skills and broadened my perspective. I first got into coding through the Web Development program at Humber College. I quickly found that web development gave me the kind of technical challenges I had been missing, while also letting me build practical, user-focused solutions. Since then, I’ve been developing full stack projects using a variety of modern web technologies.
